The first Resume in Google Earth/Maps

Unfortunately due to the economic environment the “Jobs” word is buzzing across news all across the world. Interestingly enough I found this piece on my fellow blogger Ozgur Alaz’s blog.

Inspired from MemoryMaps, he prepared a resume using Google Earth for himself. First, he grouped his Google Earth CV into six sections. They were; personal, education, work experiences, trend reporting, awards and interests. Secondly, he assigned different colours of placemark to each group. Then, he placemarked and added relevant description to related locations. Finally he exported all the placemarks to compile this innovative way showcasing your talent.

I am sure that using innovative medium like Google Earth for resume would be impressive for potential employers specially in these times we are in. In the near future…. I think we will see videos, pictures, portfolios, etc tagged along with the placemarks to make it a more multimedia mashup showcase of you and your talents.

What do you think….?
